Chris has over 25 years of experience in many different Martial Arts.

Starting with his journey in Freestyle Wrestling with Coach Roy Wood at Aspull Olympic Wrestling Club (The Snake Pit) in Wigan where he eventually became British Freestyle Wrestling Champion.

Wing Chun was next with Anand Lanka at Preston Wing Chun for 6 years until moving to the south of England in 2007.

Upon moving down south Chris sought out a Kickboxing club and found Impact Martial Arts (based in Tidworth and Marlborough) under the instruction of Wayne Timlin (5th dan). Due do work commitments Chris would have to change clubs, eventually earning his Black Belt in Kickboxing November 2016. On the 28th December Chris was assessed and graded to Second Dan in Kickboxing by Eiros Pike.

While learning Kickboxing Chris also began practising Goju Ryu Karate at Simon Buddens Winchester Karate Academy (now Combat Martial Arts) in 2014. Once again due to work commitments Chris had to put his Karate journey on hold upon receiving his Brown belt. Chris was able to resume his training with Simon (7th Dan) and has achieved Second Dan (Nidan) Black Belt October 2018.

Chris has also been training in Jiu Jitsu since 2012, earning his Brown Belt from his instructor Chris Duncan-Smith on 19/06/2022 at Xion Gym in Andover.
